Ben Kingsley x Mandarin | WIP

Started on a new personal project this past weekend. I wasn't too sure about Ben Kingsley playing the Mandarin at first, but he's a great actor and I'm sure he'll do the character justice (I hope).

Floating...

An exercise to further understand the planes of the body and their relationship to one another. Two part session...

Updates...

Took my woman with elongated skull speed sculpt and moved some things around. Opened the eyes to add a bit more life overall.

Cyclops Speed Sculpt 2 | WIP

Today's crunch was based on Gloooscap's (deviantART) original X-Men line-up. Love his character work.

Capt. America speed sculpt | WIP

This was done earlier this week, and I finally found the time to compress and render the lapse. The initial speed sculpt was done, and then re-visited to add hair and make adjustments to the overall sculpt.

Frank Castle (Punisher) | WIP

Spent about 2hrs on the speed sculpt (2 1hr sessions). Came back to it for clean up and minor fixes. Still very much a WIP.

LUNCHCRUNCH | MONSTER MONTH Pt. 4 (inspired by Cesar Dacol Jr.) June 7th, 2012

Oni! I can't even express in words how much I'm learning by doing these... I finally got to the legs on this one, but the feet need some love, and the hand with the club needs some more grip action.

LUNCHCRUNCH | MONSTER MONTH Pt.2 (inspired by Cesar Dacol Jr.)

Ningyo WIP These are so much fun! Discovering new techniques along the way. No symmetry, pure organic fun ;). Finishing a complete sculpt in an hour or two is a serious task. This is as far as 1 1/2 to 2 hrs is getting me right now. However, I'll be revisiting these without a doubt.

LUNCHCRUNCH | MONSTER MONTH Pt.1 (inspired by Cesar Dacol Jr.)

So, I've been following Cesar Dacol Jr's endeavor called "Monster Month", and he's inspired me to attempt to complete one monster a day for the whole month. Difference is, his stuff is 100X more amazing, and in clay. I'll be doing it in ZBrush since I don't have clay and tools readily available, I'll also be playing catch up since its already June 4th. This was a bit new for me since I usually work with symmetry in a generic pose. I have to admit, I loved it. I felt free, and it really brought a new organic quality to the sculpt. I encourage you to check out Cesar Dacol Jr's "Monster Month" on his YouTube channel http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIBjInCfRO6pttl0YDVTlAw?feature=wat

General Traag | Speed Sculpt | Concept

General Traag and Lieutenant Granitor are some of my favorite characters from the early 90's TMNT cartoon series. I drew up a quick concept for both, and took it further in ZBrush.
